Awaiting the Storm

I stood at the cross-roads today watching the oncoming storm… Painted two panel side by side to capture this beautiful panorama that I get to see driving out to town everyday. What a lovely stormy weather. I love Monsoons!

Latest Plein Air Painitngs

Some new Plein Air paintings from last couple of weeks. I have started going out again once or twice a week. Prescott is so green right now, I am afraid I am going to run out of green paint!!!

Contemplation

My current model Justin. An actor, an athlete, ex air force. And a very nice but intense person. I had a lot of fun painting him, I was very unhappy after the first session, but I am happy with it today after my second session. Now I just need to work on the background and Continue Reading

On Fire

I haven’t posted on my blog here d=for a while… But here is the finished painting of Shelby. On Fire oil, 18″ x 24″

Shelby

Our current Monday morning “Pushing Paint” model is Shelby. She is a 1/16th Native American. She is wild, excited, an artist and a musician. I have one more Monday to work on this.

Thinking of You

Our beautiful Monday model Rani. So full of ideas and ambitions. She is a farmer, a musician, and everything else under the sun. She believes in self sustenance, growing your own food, composting, eating good and exercising. Some may call her vagabond but I think she is a cool chick who loves to give and Continue Reading

Lemon Water

We are having unusually warm weather here and warm weather calls for a cooling refreshing drink. Lemon water also reminds me of a good spring cleanse. But, who am I kidding, I know winter or spring storms are somewhere over the horizon. But none the less it was good to soak up all the sunshine Continue Reading

Winter Plains

Another view of the Bill Williams Mountain, with the blue distant mountain standing out against the golden grasses of winter. I actually stood by the side of a 50 mph road where cars zoomed by me every minute or so sending a rumble and almost blowing my canvas off my easel! Beautiful view, and I Continue Reading

Farm Fresh

These eggs are from our chickens. Lovely, vibrant red and blues and white shell colors and bright orange yolks. I guess it took a lot to get to this painting including raising the little baby chicks to watching them grow. Providing them with my own hand mixed of fresh organic grains and seeds to them Continue Reading
