Humanity
Though I lose myself and my sense of time, surroundings and being when painting nature, it’s painting the humanity from life that touches me to the deepest part of my core. I feel in touch and connected with these models and can feel the joy they are experiencing or the pain they are suffering through, their struggle to survive and their will to thrive; their emotions guide me as I put down the shapes and colors variations of their physical being.
They say “Every portrait is a self portrait.” I feel that by being able to touch the soul of the model I find a hidden part of my own being.
