The old dead bones of this ancient one are a reminder of what it used to be back in its glory. Looking over the Granite Mountain now is now just reminiscing it old days.
Just up the trail from her house the artist painted this first en plein air to capture quickly the fast changing colors and shadows and later painted it on a larger canvas with impressionist brushstrokes.
“Old Bones” was paintied on 3/4″ stretched canvas with painting continued around the edges.
