Landscape study, Day 8 of 30
Here is an 8″ x 10″ study that I did plein air today for the Day 8 of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. Up on the hill behind our house, when the sun gets low, you can see mountains all around with a different shadow structure on each of them. Some have the sun behind them while others have it from the side, while still others are in full sun. It’s pretty amazing.
Have you actually been painting outside?? BRRRRR. you are using relatively warm colors, but i know it isn’t so!!
Hey Mimi! yes, these are painted outside. and remember, this is AZ…. We are still hitting 50s in the daytime and mostly sunny, though today is a different story. 😀
